Felixstowe Berth 9 Cathodic Protection


ABCO Divers Ltd were contracted by Volker (VSBW) for the installation of 572 number aluminium anode as part of the Felixstowe Berth 9 project.

ABCO Divers Ltd mobilised equipment and personnel, working efficiently and to programme completing the main quay wall in September to facilitate the opening of the extended Berth 9. Multi-skilled teams were on site, to support the welding, lifting and dive inspection of the cathodic protection anodes on a busy construction site with other facilitating works in close proximity. 

Project Information

Installation of 422 number aluminum anodes along the main quay and 150 aluminum anodes along the Southern Return Wall.

Close liaison with Harbour Authorities, with Dive Permits required on a daily basis for the duration of the project.

Preparation and submission of all dive logs, and anode installation log records in line with site control systems.
