ABCO Marine Ltd were contracted by RPS on behalf of the Odyssey Trust for the installation of 462 number aluminium anode as part of the Odyssey Anode Installation project at Odyssey Quay Wall.
The Odyssey Quay is a busy pedestrian route, with suitable site controls adopted to ensure the highest level of health and safety. The anodes were installed by welding by welding to the face of the sheet piling, one anode per in-pan.
Installation of 462 number 117Kg 2.6m long aluminum anodes installed at Odyssey Quay, Belfast.
Close liaison with Harbour Authorities, with Dive Permits required on a daily basis for the duration of the project. 8 week programme to complete the works, with all materials stored on site.
Preparation of Site Health & Safety Plans, with specific Pedestrian Management Plan with consideration given to all peredtrians, cyclists and other users of the popular route.
Mobilisation of ABCO Dive Van and associated support plant for the installation of the anodes, with all site files and certificates retained on site for review / inspection.
