ABCO Marine Ltd were contracted by Graham Hollandia JV for the installation of large diameter piles in the River Liffey to support the €40 million bridge construction.
We had to mobilise our C59 Emotion Jack-Up barge along with a modular crane barge to support the operations, with the bridge spanning 125m over the River Liffey in the heart of Dublin's docklands. We delivered and constructed our modular equipment in the Dublin Docklands and towed the short distance to the site location. The bridge is an iconic structure in Dublin, both structurally and visually linking city traffic over the River Liffey.

Mobilisation and construction of C59 Emotion Jack-Up Barge and B69 Emotional Modular Crane Barge to support pile installation, plant and material transfer.
Supply of support work boats for the duration of the project, with various types of vessel from Pushy Tugs and crew transfer vessels.
Installation of 7 number 1.35m diameter ship impact piles into the river bed, supporting BAUER drilling operations conducted from C59 Emotion Jack-Up Barge.
Removal of drill and piling generated waste, with materials separated into skips and lifted from barge onto Crane Barge and onto shore for disposal.
Supply of support work boats for the duration of the project, with various types of vessel from Pushy Tugs and crew transfer vessels used for positioning and crew support.
Works completed to the agreed budget and delivered within programme.
Supply and operation of safety boat employed during all marine operations. With liaison with other river craft operators to maintain movement through the construction area.
Liaison with Dublin Port Authority, to ensure identification of mobilization quay and mobilization operations within the River Liffey to construction site.
